Clarity Human Services: July 2024 Feature Updates

This month's release includes Outreach updates plus the ability to upload larger files into Clarity Human Services.

Highlights of this month’s updates:

Note: 

The updates described in this article will be deployed in the early morning hours on scheduled release days. During release, the Clarity Human Services application may experience performance delays. We recommend clearing your cache at the initial login if experiencing difficulty.

The Data Analysis update will follow the same feature release schedule dates. There may be a slight delay when accessing Looker after the release as the system updates are being applied. Data Analysis release notes will arrive in a separate communication. 

Updated: Size Limit for Uploaded Files 

In all areas of the system where files or photos can be uploaded: 

  • The size of the file that can be uploaded has increased to 25 MB.
  • Compressed files can now be uploaded.

This update applies to client files, client photos, staff photos, agency documents, vendor documents, ROIs, Encampment photos, and INVENTORY photos).

Outreach Updates


Updated: Encampment Program Enrollment Displayed on Client Profile  

A new Display Active Encampment Enrollments on Client Profile setting has been added to Location & Outreach Settings.

Users in the agencies associated with an Outreach setting where this toggle is enabled (either “Default” or for a specific CoC) will see an ENCAMPMENT PROGRAM ENROLLMENT alert on the client profile page for clients who have active Encampment program enrollments.

  • All of the client’s active Encampment program enrollments that are shared to the user will be listed.
  • If other alerts are displayed (COMMUNITY QUEUE, PROGRAM REFERRAL, etc.), the ENCAMPMENT PROGRAM ENROLLMENT header will appear alphabetically within that list.
  • Clicking the VIEW DETAILS opens the program enrollment page. 
    • If sharing/access role settings do not allow the user to view the enrollment page, the system will open the client’s history page if the user is allowed to see it.

Required Action: System Admins should enable the Display Active Encampment Enrollments on Client Profile toggle within Outreach setting(s) as appropriate.

Updated: Client-Related Links in Outreach

This update concerns the PROFILE INFO pop-up for a client in Outreach.

When a user clicks on the VIEW button, the location icon, or a program name (on either the PROFILE INFO tab or on the ENCAMPMENT PROGRAM HISTORY tab), the URL that redirects to the main Clarity interface will include the client’s Unique Identifier.

Required Action: None.

Updated: Outreach Actions in Audit Log 

In order to better differentiate actions that have been applied with Outreach, the Changed By column in the Audit Log will now display an OUTREACH label for actions taken within Outreach, such as:

  • Enrolling a client in an Encampment program.
  • Exiting a client from an Encampment program.
  • Creating an Encampment program.

Note: When a client record is deleted using the DIT, the dependent entities related to this client (enrollments, services, etc.) will also be deleted.
