System Settings

System Setup: Settings

The SETTINGS section of System SETUP contains information about your instance of Clarity Human Services as well as configuration options that will impact system behavior. The settings are broken into three sections: System Configuration, Account Settings, and System Messages.

System Configuration

System Name Indicates the implementation name of the system setup.
System URL The internet address for the system/implementation.
System Internal IP Indicates the internal server the system/implementation is working on.
Time Zone Sets the time zone for the system/implementation that is appropriate to work in, e.g. ET, CT, MT, and PT.
Maintenance Mode When this is turned on, only system administrators will be able to log into the system.
Internal Network The local IP address for the system/implementation.
Administrative System Server URL The location of the server that sends updates to all instances of Clarity.
Administrative System Server Username Indicates the server’s designated name the system/implementation is working on.
Administrative System Server Password The designated password is set by Bitfocus (this is not visible to system administrators).
Automated Password Reset This checkbox controls whether the Forgot Password link will appear on the Login page. If unchecked, no Forgot Password link will appear. This means when a user forgets their password, they will need to contact an administrator to reset it.
Automated Password Reset Token Lifetime This field allows the system administrator to control the number of minutes before the reset token expires.
Enable Import Email Notifications Click this checkbox to enable emails being sent to users to update them on data import activity.
Enable Technical Support Widget  Enables the Help Widget.

Disable Inactive Users Select Off, or choose between the time period options available to deactivate a user’s account if they do not log into the system. The account will need to be reactivated by the systems administrator in order for the user to log in.
Force Password Change Setting this will require the user to change their password after a set number of days. Select Off, or choose between 30 and 360 days.
Force Password Change Reminder This setting determines the amount of time before the password expiration date that the user will be presented with a reminder to change their password.
Coordinated Entry Type This setting determines if the Coordinated Entry type is based on an entire CoC or Sharing Groups of agencies within a CoC.
Enabled Automated Functions

This feature is directly tied to automated functions within Clarity Human Services, specifically Automated Removal from the Community Queue and Auto-Exit to Permanent Destination. The selection of Enabled Automated Functions setting determines how the selection is applied.
