Pentaho Release Notes - April 2026

Released Updates

        • [STFF-104] Staff Client Data Activity
          • In addition to new functionality for connecting all household members to beds, the STFF-104 report updates include improvements in logic for created and edited Client Contacts, Referrals, Files, and Release of Information Data Activity Types. 
  • On 04/08/2026, a hotfix was released to improve the following reports for all instances: 
    • [DQXX-102] Program Data Review was updated to ensure accurate returned results even if the constraints are set to "Select" or an empty string. 

    • [GNRL-111] Attendance by Days Served was updated to ensure grouping in the report returns the expected result, and improving sort order rules. 

    • [HUDX-111(-AD)] CSV/XML Export was updated with optimizations to streamline processing.
      • On 04/10/2026, a hotfix was released to ensure the export archive is delivered reliably for exports larger than 1 GB.

Upcoming Updates

  • On April 20, 2026 the following Hotfix Updates will be released to all train instances. These updates will be released to all live instances on April 22, 2026. 

    • HUD provided updated guidance to address logic discrepancies in the APR/CAPER specifications and the HMIS Reporting Glossary related to Q5a row 14. Number of Parenting Youth Under age 25 with Children, and Q27b. Parenting Youth Total Parents. Previously, when households and household member enrollments changed during the reporting period, these measures, which are expected to match, could produce inconsistent counts, causing Sage warnings/errors. To resolve this, the DataLab and Sage teams collaborated to clarify and align the programming logic for these Sage-validated metrics. This guidance is expected to be incorporated into future HUD specifications and related resources. The following reports were updated to align with this guidance: 

      • [HUDX-225(-AD)] HMIS Data Quality Report

      • [HUDX-227(-AD)] Annual Performance Report

      • [HUDX-228(-AD)] ESG CAPER

    • An optimization update was implemented for reports that utilize Program CoC Filter Category selections. This update ensures the timely return of filtered prompt options for Program(s) selection.
    • A performance update was applied to [STFF-104] Staff Client Data Activity, where any individual file within the ZIP archive that exceeds 100,000 rows will be automatically converted to CSV format.
    • [DQXX-102] Program Data Review was updated to ensure accurate screen-based results are returned as expected.
