      Data Analysis Release Notes 11/27/2023

       

      Release Notes Summary

      The changes outlined here will be released to all looker instances on 11/27/2023. There may be changes to this article until the release date. 

      We acknowledge this release is on a abbreviated timeline.  We appreciate your understanding as Data Services attempt to keep Looker analytics synchronized with Clarity changes. If there are any concerns, please contact your BFF or Help Desk and we can hold your instance's Looker release back a week.

       

      LookML Dashboards: 

      All five LSA Cleanup dashboards had a few minor updates to address additional factors related to the 2024 Data Standard Updates plus the addition of 3 new Looks to identify LSA flags.

      Ten retired Dashboards have been removed.

      A new Data Quality Supplemental LookML dashboard has been published.

       

      Data Quality Model:

      Retired Error check fields have been removed.

       

      Services Model: 

      Updated the dimension “type_provided_text” in the Services view  in the Services model to match the 2024 Data Standards

      LookML Dashboards

      A new Data Quality Supplemental LookML dashboard  has been released - 

      The Data Quality Supplemental LookML dashboard utilizes the Data Quality report section of the HUD HMIS Reporting Glossary and HUD HMIS Data Dictionary Data Elements as focal points to review data completion and data quality. This dashboard contains information to help maintain and obtain data quality with an emphasis on the HMIS Data Dictionary Universal Data Elements and some Program Specific Data Elements. The dashboard in some instances performs checks above and beyond the requirements of the HUD HMIS Reporting Glossary.

        Required Actions: Update any content that uses the above fields. 

       

      Services Model:

      Updated the dimension “type_provided_text” in the Services view  in the Services model to match the 2024 Data Standards

      Required Actions: Update any content where the above field is hardcoded in custom filters or custom fields.
