Data Analysis Release Notes 9/09/2024

Release Notes Summary

The changes outlined here will be released to Looker training instances on 08/26/2024 and production instances on 09/09/2024. Deployment should be complete by 8am ET. There may be slight delays when accessing Looker after the release as the system updates are being applied.

LookML Dashboards

Updated punctuation in Look titles on “Coordinated Entry: Enrollment Overview” and “Data Quality” dashboards.

Improvements to Date Filters in “Data Quality Dashboard,” “HMIS Data Quality Supplemental Dashboard,” and “Program Performance” Dashboard.

Converted CoC filters to “Advanced” type in SPM Dashboards.

Updated “Project Type” Dashboard filter on “Program Performance” Dashboards.

Inventory Model

Seven new building location fields have been added to the “Inventory - Buildings” View.

Date Filter fields have been added to the “Date Filters” view.

Project Descriptor Model

Seven new building location fields have been added to the “Inventory - Buildings” View.

Updated the logic of the “Bed and Unit Management” field in the “Programs” view to display a null value when the project type is a non-residential program and ensure that a yes or no value is applied for residential programs.

Action Required: Content where the "Bed and Unit Management" field is filtered to "No" may provide different results.Update content containing the “Bed and Unit Management” field as necessary.

Detailed Release Notes

LookML Dashboards

Periods added to HUD Codes in Look titles on “Coordinated Entry: Enrollment Overview” and “Data Quality” Dashboards.

Annual Assessment Looks updated to be built around Reporting Period rather than Date Filter to improve performance on “Data Quality Dashboard,” “HMIS Data Quality Supplemental Dashboard,” and “Program Performance” Dashboard.

CoC filters were converted to the “Advanced” filter type on both SPM dashboards for aesthetic reasons for instances with many CoCs.

The “Project Type” dashboard filter has been updated to apply to the “Enrolled in PH/RRH w/ a Housing Move-in Date” and “Average Days from Project Start to Housing Move-in Date” Looks on the Program Performance dashboards. The Looks are still limited to PH and RRH programs through the Look custom filters, but updated dashboard filters will allow for the analysis of specific PH/RRH project types.
