FY 2026 Data Standards impacts for the Clarity Human Services Data Import Tool (DIT).

Overview

HUD's HMIS Data Standards updates must be programmed and in practice by all HMIS and comparable database systems by Wednesday, October 1, 2025. This article provides details on the impacts to the Data Import Tool (DIT).

Impact of FY2026 Data Standards on the DIT

Please note the following:

CSV and XML Data Imports
Starting 09/01/2025, users will be able to test DIT imports on training sites using the FY 2026 HMIS CSV specifications and Clarity XML Schema.

Updated FY 2026 HMIS CSV and Clarity XML imports will be available in live sites starting 10/01/25.
